I am Lady Marie von Heinz. I come from the land where folklore was born and I am to stay here as long as my life proceeds.
If you could not tell, I am from a long line of nobility. Thus, I am privileged beyond belief. Or so I am told.
My father married me to a man I barely knew. The young man claimed to love me more than the stars and was willing to pay my dowry. In my realm, that is equivalent to love. At the time, I had believed that he truly loved me. He showed concern for me and had always wanted to be by my side. That was the case up until I became pregnant with our first child. After this point, he seldom asked to hear my opinions and only conversed with me to fill the silence.
And then it got worse. Our first child was a girl. He stopped paying attention to me because I had produced a girl and not the son he had always dreamt about. Conversation became terse and sleeping was all that was done in our chambers.
We tried again for a boy, and again, I had a girl. And the several tries after that all ended in miscarriages. And that was when I became nothing to him.
Our love story was brief, just like any love story. Happy endings arrive early in our realm. After the love story ends, another story begins that us women are not allowed to talk about.
But the men in my realm have not come across the "blogosphere" quite yet. Us women, have found this outlet in the recent times. Up until this point, most women have just shared their events and literary conquests. Now, I am going to explore the folk realm in relation to how women are treated. And it will be shocking to those who are unaware of the abuse, but most definitely, it will shed light onto how us women should proceed.
We are usually not allowed to have a voice, but as long as we have the chance, we need to take advantage of "blogging" about our disadvantages set upon us as women. And I will be taking this advantage in my "blog".
